So what exactly is wine….Life! But to be more specific and helpful, wine is an alcoholic beverage made with fermented grapes. Technically it can be made from any fruit but the vast majority of wine is made from wine grapes. Wine Grapes are different from table grapes. They are much smaller, sweeter and have a thicker skin. There are several different styles of wine including still, sparkling, fortified and aromatized wines.

The most popular of the two types of wines are sparkling and still. While I love a good still Pinot Noir with dinner, sparkling wine is what gives me life! Sparkling wine is wine in which carbon dioxide has been dissolved in the form of tiny bubbles. Most often called Champagne, sparkling wine can be made from anywhere in the world. Champagne, made by a specific method (Traditional Method) can only be made in Champagne, France. Whether it's Champagne, Prosecco, Cava or Sekt, sparkling wine is lively, fun and luxurious and goes with any party!
